I think now is the time to switch to a more personal writing style. I have to admit it feels strange to write or talk about myself or about my projects in the 3rd person. Especially when this blog is meant to share my thoughts, ideas, hints and tips about music and the music business in general.

2023 is off to a great start for me, both musically and creatively. I have already released five tracks, including a collaboration with Mockfly called "Gold Skies" and an EP titled "Treasure" with Yours Truly CC. While it may have been a mistake to release both on the same day, both have done well, especially the EP. One of its tracks, "War Of Jenkins," even made it onto the Spotify playlist "Lofi Beats," with nearly six million followers. This has had a huge impact on my numbers, boosting my monthly listeners from 100,000 to over 300,000 in just a few weeks.

One of my personal highlights this year has been the release of "Lenox Ave." This track was created in collaboration with my good friend and talented guitarist JB Cooper. Thomas (JB Cooper's real name) composed the music and recorded all of the guitar parts, while I arranged the tracks, added additional instruments, played saxophone and horn arrangements, and did the final mixing. The Netherlands-based label Fresh Goodies decided to release it, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the final product.

With six more releases in the pipeline over the next two months, I'm looking forward to continuing my musical journey this year. I have the pleasure of collaborating with amazing artists like K Beats, Toti Cisneros, Fletch Beats, Papillon, and JB Cooper. I can't wait to see where this year will take me and what exciting new projects I'll get to be a part of.
